Literature Text

'Twas the night before Christmas
When all through the lab
The halls were all quiet
No corpse on the slab

The gloves were hung
In the DNA Lab with care
Over luminol, ninhydrin,
and other tools there

The case slips were all nestled
All snug in their files
So the CSI Team
Got to go rest awhile.

When out in the hall
There rose such a clatter
Gil sprang from his desk
To see what was the matter.

Running down the hall
Came Cath and Nick
"Griss, we got a murder,
You better come quick"

Gil picked up his papers
and heaved a big sigh
"I'll be there in a minute
And Nick, you can drive."

They went and they processed
from midnight till dawn
"Lets head back to the lab."
Cath said with a yawn.

Back at the lab
Greg made a big fuss
"Tonight I'm all backlogged,
but for you, its a must"

He spoke not more words
But went straight to his work
mixing and stirring
to make chemical murk.

"I have your results,"
Greg turned and he bragged.
"Its all set to go,
labled, marked and tagged."

Then Jim Brass walked in
And said with a smile
"I got your guy
But it might take awhile!"

They presented each piece
of evidence to the man
and he finally talked
the murder was planned.

Suddenly, a new
report came in
Gil read it and looked
at his team with a grin.

"On Catherine! On Warrick!
On Sara and Nick!
On Brass! On Greg Sanders!
We have a new vic!"

"To the autopsy room!
All the way down the hall!
Dash away, dash away!
Dash away all!"

With that, the whole group turned and they said:
"Merry Christmas to all!"
(That includes all you dead.)
A quick poem I wrote for my own amusement. You may have seen it on CubsEGirl's profile, because thats where I published it before I got this account.
